Arisi Parupu sadham/Dal Rice Recipe with step by step photos.This recipe is made with rice,toor dal/thuvaram parupu,Onions/Shallots,Tomato,Garlic Cloves,Curryleaves,coriander leaves and red chilies.This is one of the healthiest recipe.This recipe can be given to babies above 8 months.

This recipe is one of the traditional south indian recipe.This recipe goes well with Pickles and pappad.
Garlic cloves-10(do not cut add fully) Vadagam-1 tsp(here I have used vadagam,you can include mustard seeds,urad dal,channa dal)
Method:
Soak Toor dal and Urad dal in water for 3 to 5 hrs.
Add the saoaked dal and rice in pressure cooker and pressure cook till it becomes soft and mushy.In meanwhile add oil/ghee in a kadao and add vadagam or Mustard seeds,urad dal and chana dal.Once splutters add Onion/Shallots,Tomato,Red Chilies,Curry leaves and coriander leaves and saute till onion and tomato gets soft and mushy.
Once the rice and dal is ready add the cooked onion mix to pressure cooker and mix with needed salt.Add more ghee if you like.serve hot with pickle,pappad or mixture.

1.Add soaked Rice and Toor dal in a pressure cooker.
2.Further add in Turmeric powder and a tsp of Ghee and pressure cook for 5 whistles.
3.Heat a kadai and add Oil and Ghee.
4.Now add vadagam.
5.Further add in Shallots,Tomato,Curry leaves,Coriander leaves and Red Chili and cook till it becomes soft.
6.After add this mixture in pressure cooker and mix every thing with required Salt.
