Karuvadu Fry Recipe/Dry Fish Fry Recipe


    Preparation Time:10 Mins

    Cooking Time:10 to 15 Mins

    Serves:3 to 4



    Ingredients:

    Karuvadu/Dry Fish-1 Cup(After Cleaning reduces to half)
    Shallots-20 Slitted
    Curry Leaves-1 Sprig
    Coriander Leaves-1 tsp
    Chili Powder-1 tsp
    Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp
    Ginger and Garlic Paste-1 tsp
    Oil-4 tsp
    Mustard Seeds,Urad dal and Channa dal-1 tsp
    Salt as needed
    Pre Preparation:
    1.Wash Karuvadu/Dry Fish in Hot Water For 3 times and Cold water for 5 times Cleanly(more or less you can wash according to the quality u have taken).
    2.Strain and keep aside.

    Step by Step Photo Recipe:

    1.Heat a Kadai and add Oil.



    2.Once the Oil is Heat add 1 tsp Mustard Seeds,Urad dal and Channa dal.
    3.Once it Splutters add Ginger Garlic paste till it turns golden brown.
    4.Now add Shallots and Curry Leaves and saute till it becomes Soft.


    5.Then add Karuvadu/Dry Fish and add Chili Powder,Turmeric Powder and needed Salt and Mix.



    7.Cook untill Oil gets Separated.
    8.Once it gets Cooked garnish with Coriander Leaves and Serve.

    Notes:
    • Chili Powder Can be added More or Less according to your taste.
    • Best when eaten with Curd Rice.
