Mutton Biryani Recipe/One Pot Biryani Recipe

Ingredients:

 
Seeraga Samba/Basmati Rice-1/2 kg
Mutton-1/2 kg
Onion-1 Large Sliced
Tomato-3 Medium Sized Chopped
Mint Leaves-100g
Green Chili-4 Large
Ginger Garlic Paste-2 tsp
Turmeric Powder-1 tsp
Chili Powder-1/2 tsp
Bay Leaf-2
Cinnamon Stick-2 Inch
Cloves-3
Elachi/Cardamom-3
Marathi Moggu-2
Star Anise-2
Oil-1/4 Cup
Ghee-2 tsp
Salt as needed
 

Pre Preparation:

 
Wash and Soak Basmati/Seeraga Samba Rice in Water For 1/2 hr.
 

Step by Step Photo recipes:

 
1.Add Washed Mutton Pieces and 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder in a Pressure Cooker.
 

 

2.Further add 1 Cup water,1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste and Pressure Cook till it becomes Soft.
 
4.In same Pressure Cooker add Oil and Ghee.
 
 

5.Add Briyani Masalas(except Cinnamon and Cloves) and saute till aroma comes.

 
 

6.Then add Ginger garlic paste and saute till it turns golden brown.

 
 

7.In a blender add Mint Leaves,Green Chillies,Cinnamon Stick and Cloves and blend into smooth paste.

 

 

 

8.Add the blended paste and Chili Powder once ginger garlic paste turns golden brown.

 
 

9.Further add Onion,Tomatoes and Turmeric Powder and saute till it becomes soft and Mushy.

 
 

10.Now add Cooked Mutton Pieces,needed Salt and Water(1:2 ratio).

 
 

11.Once it starts to boil add soaked rice and Pressure Cook for 1 whistle(check for the salt).

 
 

12.Once the Pressure is released mix gently and Serve.

 

 

 

 
 

Notes:

 
  • Adjust Chili Powder according to your taste.
  • Water ratio is for 1 Cup Rice add 2 Cups water

Directions
