Mutton Gravy Recipe/Mutton kuzhambu Recipe

    Serves:5 to 6

    Ingredients:


    Mutton-250g
    Shallots-12 to 45
    Tomato-1 Medium Size
    Curry Leaves-2 Sprig
    Coriander Leaves-2 tsp Chopped
    Chili Powder-1 tsp
    Coriander Powder-2 tsp
    Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp
    Curry Masala-1/2 to 1 tsp
    Ginger Garlic Paste-1 tsp
    Coconut Chunks/Grated-1/3 cup
    Cinnamon Stick-1 inch
    Cloves-2
    Cumin Seeds-1/4 tsp
    Pepper Corns-1/2 tsp
    Oil-2 tsp
    Salt as needed

    Pre preparation:

    1.Wash and Strain the Mutton Pieces and keep aside.
    2.In a Blender add Shallots and Tomato and Blend Coarsely and Keep aside.



    3.Add Chopped Coconut,Cinnamon Stick,Cloves,Pepper Corns, Cumin Seeds and Water in a blender and blend into a smooth paste and Keep aside.

                         

                     

    Step by Step Photo Recipes:


    1.In a Pressure cooker add 2 tsp Oil.


    2.Once the Oil is hot,add 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste and saute till it becomes golden brown.




    3.Now add blended shallots and tomato into pressure Cooker.



    4.Further add Curry Leaves and Coriander Leaves.



    5.Once the Oil Comes out,add Mutton pieces into Pressure Cooker.



    6.Further add Chili Powder,Turmeric Powder,Coriander Powder and curry Powder and Cook for 5 Minutes.



    7.Now add the Coconut paste into Pressure Cooker.



    8.Add 4 to 5 Cups Water and Pressure Cook till mutton Pieces gets Cooked well.

                     

     9.Once the pressure is released,boil till the gravy becomes thick.


    10.Finally garnish with Coriander leaves and Serve.

    • Add More or less Chili Powder according to your taste.
