Paasi Parupu Payasam Recipe with detailed step by step photo recipe and it is made out of Moong dal and Jaggery.This is the traditional sweet recipe and it is made almost for every festivals in india and it is healthy recipe too.Moong dal is rich in proteins.Moong dal is a split dal from whole green gram.It has a cooling properties.It improves digestion.It helps to regulate blood pressure and also promotes weight loss.
 

This Recipe is made by dry roasting Moong dal.Moong dal should be roasted carefully and should not be over roasted.

Ingredients:

 
Paasi Parupu/Moong dal-1/2 Cup
Jaggery-1/2 Cup
Milk-1 Cup
Ghee-2 tsp
Coconut Grated-2 tsp
Cashew-10
Dry Grapes/Raisins-10
 

Method:

Dry roast moong dal in a kadai till aroma arises.do not over roast.Roast moong dal in low flame.now add the water and milk to the kadai and cook till moong dal becomes soft and mushy.
 
In a sauce pan add ghee and roast cashews and dry grapes till it turns golden brown.
 
Once moon dal gets cooked add the jaggery(you can also melt jaggery and add).further add shredded coconut and mix.finally add roasted dry fruits and mix and serve.

1.Add 1/2 Cup Moong dal in a kadai and dry roast till aroma arises in Low Flame.
 

 

2.Wash the moong dal and add 4 Cups Water.

 

 

 

3.Further add 1 Cup Milk and Boil till moong dal becomes Soft.

 

 

4.In a saute pan add 2tsp ghee.

 

 

5.Add in cashews and dry grapes and saute till it turns golden brown.

 
 
6.Once Moong dal is Cooked add Jaggery and Cook till it gets melted(you can also melt jaggery and add).
 
7.Further add grated Coconut and mix.
 

 

 

8.Finally add roasted Cashews and dry grapes and mix and Serve.

 

Notes:

  • Adjust Sweetness according to your taste.
