Paneer Butter Masala Recipe/How to Make Butter Paneer Recipe

Paneer is one of the fresh cheese made by curdling Milk.It is rich in Protein.With Paneer we can make Butter masala,Kadai paneer,Paneer sabzi,dragon Paneer,Paneer Burji and Paneer Biryani.

In this post i have shared my most most favourite recipe of Paneer butter masala,which is also known as butter paneer.This is one of the most famous and authentic recipe of Northern parts of india.

Paneer butter masala is made by using freshly prepared paneer or with store bought.Home made paneer can be prepared by curdling milk.The main ingredient used to curdle Milk is Lemon juice or Vinegar.2 tbsp of lemon juice is needed to curdle 1 litre of Milk.

The main ingredient used to make paneer butter masala is Butter,Panner and Garam masala.Garam masala is one of the main ingredient to enhance the taste of masala.For restaurant style masala 1 tsp of kasuri methi is added.In this post i have shared the recipe with photos.kindly check out and make a try.

Paneer Butter masala goes well with Butter naan,Chapathi and Pulao.

Ingredients

Paneer-200 gms

Butter-1 tbsp+4 tbsp

Onion-1 Medium sized sliced

Tomato-4 medium Sized Sliced

Cinnamon Stick-1

Cardamom Pods-2

Bay leaf-1

Cashew-5 to 10

Ginger Garlic paste-1/2 tsp

Chili Powder-1 tsp

Garam Masala-1 tsp

Kasuri Methi-1 tsp

sugar-1 tsp

Salt to taste

Fresh Cream optional

Step by Step Photo Recipe

1.Heat a kadai and add 1 tbsp butter.

2.Add Onions.

3.Add Tomatoes.

4.Then add Cashews and Ginger garlic paste.

5.Cook till it becomes soft.

6.Transfer to a blender,allow it to cool and blend into smooth paste.

7.In same kadai add 3 to 4 tbsp butter.

8.Further add Cinnamon,Cardamom pods and bay leaf.

9.Now add Blended paste.

10.Add Chili powder and garam masala.

11.Then add Salt.

12.Add Sugar.

13.Add 1/4 Cup water and allow it to boil till raw smell goes off.

14.Add Paneer pieces.

15.Simmer and cook for 3 mins.

16.Finally crush and add Kasuri methi.

17.Turn off the stove and serve with Naan,Chapathi or pulao.

Notes

1.Add extra Butter if you are a butter love.

2.You can also garnish with fresh cream while serving.

3.Make sure you blend the onion and tomato into thick paste.
