Parupu dosa/Parupu adai recipe with step by step photos.This recipe is made with Toor dal/Thuvaram Parupu,Rice,Onions/shallots,Garlic cloves,Curry leaves,Coriander leaves and red chilies.Rice and dal is soaked for about 5 to 8 hrs,then add into a blender.Add Shallots/onions,garlic cloves and red chilies and blend into a smooth paste.You can store this batter for 2 days in refrigerator.

Toor dal which is rich in protein,so it can be a healthy breakfast substitute.It has carbs and dietary fibre needed for growth and development.Adding toor dal in diet helps to meet your demands of iron and calcium.

    Preparation time:10 Mins
    Cooking time:5 mins
    Serves:7 to 8 Adai

    Ingredients:


    Rice-1/2 Cup
    Toor dal-1/4 Cup
    Onions-2 Chopped Finely
    Garlic Cloves-5 Small Cloves/2 Big Cloves
    Curry Leaves-1 Sprig Finely Chopped
    Coriander Leaves-1 tsp Finely Chopped
    Red Chilies-5(can also be added more)
    Salt as needed


    Step by Step Photo Recipe:


    1.Add the Soaked Rice and dal in blender and blend for 1 minute.



    2.Add in Onions,Garlic Cloves and Red Chilies and blend into a smooth batter.



    3.Add the batter in a bowl.



    4.Further add in Onions,Curry Leaves,Coriander Leaves,Red Chilies and Salt.



    5.Mix and rest the batter for 5 hours or Overnight.



    6.Add needed Water for preparing Dosa.

    Fermented Batter



    7.Heat a pan and spread the batter and add Oil or Ghee.


    8.Cook in Medium Flame and Flip over both Sides till it turns Golden brown and Serve hot with Coconut Chutney.



    Notes:

    • Left over Batter can be Stored in Refrigerator and can be used for other 24 hours.
    • Red chilies can be included more if needed.
